Gone but not forgotten

December 17th, 2008

I was shocked to see the rugby player who was severely injured in a game lose his life this week. I am sure he played for the Newcastle Falcons but was later bound to a wheel chair after sustaining severe injury during a game. He did quite a lot of work for charity after the accident, and he fought on but he lost his fight for life after suffering a brain hemorrhage and died earlier this week. Rugby is a very dangerous game, but not even the kit can protect your body from severe injury.

Drop and give me 20.

I recently heard a British school teacher was suspended from a London school after he made his pupils do pushups just for being late and not wearing Tie Clips . I found it quite amusing; after all they do it in the army why not at school. The nation has been attacked for the number of people who are unfit and overweight; it is a form of exercise. Now teachers will be weary of everything they try to do with their pupils in case they lose their job. It’s not as if he was physically abusing them or anything.

useless hospitals

November 11th, 2008

Hospitals in Zimbabwe are becoming abandoned. They can do nothing for the ones who are sick from hunger and the medicine s are becoming to expensive for them. Hospital beds are empty, trolleys and tables never filled and the innocent child dies with only pain in its heart. Yet there are those who survive these times who will some day grow strong. These are the ones who live with this pain who will have more generosity then anybody else and will share what they don’t have. We learn the most incredible things from these people but for now all we can do is hope.

I got a Free koozie

November 8th, 2008

Hey guys I went to a fund raiser that we raised over $15,000 for hunger and disease prevention. we got a goodies bag with stuff like candles and a can holder which said ” i helped cure hunger” on their it said the koozie was from True imprint . the one we got were the ones for the water bottles koozies.  I am guessing the people at http://trueimprint.com donated them, which is kind of cool, because they got to advertise their company and give at the same time . i will definitely be giving them some business in the future because now i have something to remmeber the fundraiser!!!!!!!!! i use to us

Homless in africa

November 8th, 2008

Africa has over 80000 homeless and abandoned children. Is there anyone who can help them? One thing I have noticed about these poor children is that they are the ones who are the most generous people I know. If everybody were like them we wouldn’t have any wars or death just because one person refuses to help another we would have a kinder world with people who are willing to share what they don’t have and still keep strong. If our nation alone were as generous and understanding as those with nothing then nobody would be able to bring us down no matter how hard they try.

Dragons breathe fire??????

November 8th, 2008

I notice a lot of westerners think of dragons as fire breathing maiden-eating devil creature who get a bad impression on the Chinese since there symbol is the dragon however there perspective is the opposite of westerners. The Chinese believe that the dragon is a charming life bringer and also the one who brings the rain. So how are they going to deal with this? Well many people have said change our symbol but the majority of the people say who cares what they think of the dragon we have had this symbol for generations why should we change it just because others don’t like it?

To me this says my opinion matters more than what others who aren’t even in our country think. What does it mean to you
